Munson's Bag Dump Stations (also known as Manual Dumping Stations) contain dust generated during dumping of powder and bulk materials from bags, boxes, drums, and other containers, improving operator safety and plant hygiene, while reducing material waste.
They are available factory-integrated with Munson Mixing/Blending and Size Reduction Equipment with or without transition hoppers, as floor standing units mounted on stationary or mobile receiving hoppers or storage vessels, or as individual components for customer installation wherever dust must be contained.
A high velocity vacuum fan draws airborne dust from the operator’s atmosphere onto two cartridge filters. Automatic reverse-pulse filter cleaning provides continuous, efficient operation by releasing short blasts of compressed plant air inside of the filters, causing dust build-up on outer filter surfaces to fall into the equipment, hopper or storage vessel on which the dumping station is mounted.
The hood's removable, safety-interlocked access panel allows inspection or replacement of the filters using quick-disconnect fittings, while an optional safety-interlocked grate can be removed for access to the receiving vessel's interior.
Pre-drilled flanges on the rear and sides of the hood allow rapid fastening to mixers, blenders, size reduction equipment, storage vessels, and other equipment having horizontal covers with square openings from 24 to 30 in. (61 to 76 cm).
Construction is of 304 or 316 stainless steel finished to industrial, pharmaceutical or food-grade standards, ranging from clean mill finishes to 2B, #4 and #7 mirror pharmaceutical finishes.
Also available are Bag Dump Hoods with no dust collection components for manual dumping of non-dusty materials.

Munson Self-contained Manual Dumping Module, shown mounted on a ribbon blender, contains dust generated when bulk materials are manually dumped into process equipment and storage vessels.
